Site & Facilities

  • We are open 7 days a week, 365 a year!

  • We are currently operating from our flagship site based in Bermondsey, but watch this space as we have plans to open another 15 sites based in Central London and the Home Counties providing over 200 charging points

  • On each site we currently have a minimum of 10 chargers.

  • Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Zevhub, so as you’d expect all energy is sourced only from renewable sources.

  • All our charging hubs are safe & secure. Our charging areas are clearly marked and are well-lit. For our customers safety we have 24-hour security and CCTV in operation.

  • Yes. Our site and chargers are wheelchair friendly

  • Yes, Male, Female and disabled toilets are on site

  • Yes, showers are available.

  • Yes – motorhomes are welcome to charge

  • Yes – we have a bright, modern drivers lounge to use and relax in whilst your vehicle is charging

  • Hot food is provided on site by our professional partners and hot-drinks and snack vending is available in the driver’s lounge.

  • Yes. Please contact the site general manager.

  • Yes, we have free WIFI for all our customers

  • Yes. Any lost property can be reported to our security team

Vehicle Charging

  • We have a mixture of fast, rapid and ultra rapid chargers

  • We can charge both CCS and CHAdeMO connector types

  • All electric cars, vans, taxis and LGVs can be charged.

  • Yes. All our chargers are suitable for Tesla car batteries

  • Depending on the size of your battery, the level of charge required and the charger you are using can vary charging times. Typically, on an 80 KWH battery, to achieve 100-mile range charge, using fast would take 45 mins, rapid 30 mins and ultra rapid 15 mins. (this is for example purposes only)

  • Yes. Charger availability and reserving can be done on our website or through our APP

  • Tap your RFID card, connect your vehicle, ensure charging has started, grab a coffee and relax in our comfortable modern driver’s lounge

  • Tap the screen, disconnect, and place the connector and lead back into the charger

  • NO, unfortunately not available at our site at the moment.

  • NO. Modern battery technology won’t allow overcharging of batteries

  • No. All chargers are equipped with charging cables and connectors

  • Not achieving the advertised charging KHW is extremely rate, however battery size, temperature and SoC (state of charge) can all impact the speed the charge is dispensed

  • The Zevhub APP is required before charging.

  • Reserving a charger functionality is available through our website or APP.

Payments

  • All major credit & debit cards accepted

  • Having the Zevhub APP will enable you rewards and benefit

  • No. There is no connection fee when using our chargers.

  • A temporary charge of £20 is reserved on your payment card, this is to validate your card and will be seen as pending on your account transaction history, this charge will autocorrect itself with the cost of your electric charge. In rare occasions this could take 1-2 days depending on your bank

  • If no electric charge has taken place, the preauthorised charge will be cleared from your account within 5-10 working days.

  • Yes. To ensure our chargers are available for customers we do apply a penalty fee if the charging bay is occupied over 15 minutes from end of charge

Troubleshooting: Charging issues

  • We don’t usually have issues with our chargers; however we’ve put together some helpful hints:

    Check that your card has more than £20 credit available.

    Check your vehicle is fully powered down (turned off)

    All doors are closed.

    Ensure you are using the correct connector for your vehicle.

    Ensure the lead and the connector are from the correct charging point that you have started to use.

    After confirming payment/RFID card, insert the connector to your vehicle immediately.

    Check the charging screen for any messages.

    In rare circumstances you vehicle will need to be cooled down before charging can commence.
