In the following, we would therefore like to inform you in detail about which data is collected during your visit to our website www.zevhub.co.uk  as well as the subdomains and the use of our offers there and how these are processed or used by us in the following. Furthermore, we would like to inform you about the rights you are entitled to and the technical and organisational protective measures we have taken with regard to the processing of your data.

3. Collection and use of your data

The extent and nature of the collection and use of your data differs depending on whether you visit our website only to retrieve information or whether you use offers on our website which require you to provide further data about yourself, for example when using our contact form.

3.1. Informational use

For the purely informational use of our website, it is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data.

Rather, in this case we only collect and use the data that your internet browser automatically transmits to us, such as

  • Date and time of access to one of our Internet pages

  • Your browser type

  • the browser settings

  • the operating system used

  • the amount of data transmitted and the access status (file transmitted, file  not found etc.) and

  • Your IP address.

We process these data during an informational visit exclusively in a non-personal form. This is done to enable you to use the Internet pages you have called up and to be able to check whether our web pages are displayed optimally.

In this context, your IP address will be stored in the log for 60 days to enable conclusions to be drawn and security gaps to be closed in the event of security-relevant incidents such as hacking attacks. 

The processing of personal data is governed in the UK by the Data Protection Act 2018. (“GDPR”) and in our interest to be able to display our website reliably and as trouble-free as possible.

If you wish to contact us using the contact forms provided on our website, we will collect the following data from you:

  • The category of your request (e.g., “Press, Media, General Information”, “Jobs & Internships”, “Partnerships & Cooperation”, “Purchasing & Suppliers”, “Technology”, “Network & Locations”, “Data Protection” or “Other”)

  • Your name

  • Your company (optional)

  • Your e-mail address

  • In the contact form for new sites additionally your phone number, site relationship (optional), property information

  • Your message to us

We use this data to answer your e-mail enquiry. In this context, we use the category of your enquiry to be able to assign your enquiry internally according to your request.

The data collected via the contact forms and the communication to answer your enquiry will not be stored on the web server.

Data that you sent us using our contact forms will be deleted once your request is completed.

3.3. Customer Service

If you contact our customer service, we will collect certain personal data to handle your inquiry.

If you contact us by phone, we may ask for general data with regard to assist you with regard to the charging conditions (e.g., car model, RFID of your mobility service provider). If a follow-up is required, we may ask for your phone number or email address to contact you.

In order to improve our customer service, we will also ask you, whether we may record the phone call. If you confirm the recording, we will record the call including all personal data mentioned in this call.

If you contact us by email, we will collect the following categories of data:

  • Email address

  • Inquiry

  • Metadata: Date and time of your inquiry, language.

We may offer a newsletter subscription on our website. In order to send you the newsletter, we collect:

  • Date and time of the newsletter subscription.

3.5. Customer surveys

By participating in our surveys, we collect your opinion on our customer service and charging sessions in order to improve our services. The results may be tracked back to you. If you provide your email address (optional) we may contact you to find better solutions regarding our services.

Additionally, technical data needs to be collected from your browser when participating in the survey. This is technically necessary to display the website, perform the survey and ensure stability. In order to do so, we collect technical personal data, e. g. your IP address, time zone and data about your browser.

5. Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager

It is important to us to design our Internet pages as optimally as possible and thus make them attractive for our visitors. To do this, it is necessary for us to know which parts of it reach our visitors in what way.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files which are stored on your end device and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymisation has been activated on our website so that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Data from Conversion tracking is shown for 30 days.

In connection with the use of Google Analytics and Google Ads, we use the Google Tag Manager service on our website.

With the service Google Tag Manager, we manage so-called “tags”, which we have integrated on our website. Tags are small code elements that can be used to measure traffic and visitor behaviour, to measure the impact of online advertising and social channels, to use remarketing and targeting, and to test and optimise websites. When using tags, no data is stored on your end device.

We use these tags exclusively within the scope of website analysis with Google Analytics, i.e., to be able to analyse and optimise your use of our website even more precisely.

To ensure an adequate level of data protection when transferring your data to a third country, we have agreed standard data protection clauses with Google LLC, which have been adopted by the European Commission and the United Kingdom for this purpose. The processing of your data is carried out on the legal basis of GDPR in connection with your consent to the processing of your usage data for the purposes of “Analytics Cookies/google analytics” and “Marketing”.

We also use content from Google Maps on our website to display maps of the surrounding area with charging options.

The display of Google Maps and a data transmission to Google will only take place if you have previously activated “external media/Google Maps” on our page and thus consented to the data transmission to Google.

You can revoke your consent at any time and prevent any further data transmission to Google in the future by clicking on “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of this page and deselecting the “External media/Google Maps” option.

In accordance with the Google Terms of Use (as at 31.03.2020), the Google Maps service is provided to you by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) if you have your habitual residence in the European Economic Area or Switzerland. If you have your habitual residence in another country, the Google Maps service will be provided to you instead by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

When you call up our page with activated “External media/Google Maps”, the Google company responsible for your location will thus receive the information that you have called up the corresponding page on our website.

In addition, the data referred to in point 3 a) of this declaration will be transmitted. This is done regardless of whether you are logged into a Google user account or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into a Google Account, this data is directly assigned to your account. If you do not want this assignment to your profile, you must first log out of your Google Account.

Google fonts and symbols are used on our website in order to show content on Google Maps. 8. Customer Service

If you need support or have another inquiry, you can contact our customer service. In order to handle your inquiry and respond to you, we need certain categories of personal data which will be handled in accordance with GDPR.

All customer service tickets will be anonymised within 30 days after closing date.

If you call our customer support, we will also ask for your consent to record the phone call. If you consent to recording the call, we will use the recording for training purposes of our customer support agents and improve quality of our customer service. 

The recording will be retained for 30 days. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future to delete the recording by email to ev@zevhub.co.uk   

9. Newsletter

You have the opportunity on our website to subscribe to our newsletter. The collection and retention of your data is necessary for sending and receiving the newsletter. Therefore, we collect your email address as well as date and time of the newsletter subscription. You have to give consent before you can subscribe to our newsletter. We will only send the newsletter if you have expressly consented (double-opt-in).

Your data will be retained until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future to unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can either do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter email or by email to marketing@zevhub.co.uk  

10. Customer surveys

If you participate in our surveys, we will always ask you for your consent before processing personal data according to GDPR. You can always withdraw your consent by writing an email to dataprotection@zevhub.co.uk  

Additionally, technical data needs to be collected from your browser when participating in the survey. This is technically necessary to display the website, perform the survey and ensure stability. In order to do so, we collect technical personal data, e. g. your IP address, time zone and data about your browser. This data is necessary to perform the survey. It is only used temporarily to display the survey and it will not be part of the survey or its analysis. 

11. Social Media

We operate online presences in various social media platforms (see list below). This allows us to communicate with users and represent our company.

We would like to point out that user profiles can be created in the social media, e.g. in order to play relevant advertising to you. However, we have no influence on this data processing. When using such a platform, the data is collected and processed by the respective operator of the platform. This may also occur if you are not registered on a social media platform.

The aforementioned social media platforms process your personal data outside the European Union and the United Kingdom. For further information, please refer to the data protection information of the respective platform operator.

Your data will be processed on the basis in accordance with GDPR as long as your fundamental rights and freedoms are not overridden by these interests. Our legitimate interest is to customise our content to the site visitors and to increase the quality of our content as well as being able participating in modern public relations.

12. Service providers, third parties and international data transfers

In order to provide this website and for the aforementioned purposes, your data may be passed on to service providers supporting us (e.g. website hosting and support, evaluation of social media data by marketing agency), which we have of course carefully selected and commissioned in writing.

These service providers are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us.

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purposes of direct marketing. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

You have the right to revoke any consent you have given us at any time with effect for the future (right of revocation).

You have the right to receive from us the data concerning you which you have provided us with in a structured, common and machine-readable format. You may also transmit this data to other bodies or have it transmitted by us (right to data transferability).

We also use technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data that is collected or collected, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against attack by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

When using our website, your personal data is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology to prevent access by unauthorised third parties.
